Who is behind Moneyplain.
A plain-English money school with one person accountable for every page. Here is who that is, how the site pays for itself, and how the content is made.
Who runs it
Moneyplain is written and run by Jay Vaidya, who is responsible for every lesson, calculator, and page on the site. You can find Jay's work on GitHub, or write directly to jayvaidya30@gmail.com.
Jay is not a registered investment adviser, financial planner, or tax professional. That is why the site sticks to education: how money, risk, and investing work, with the assumptions behind every number shown. It never tells you what to buy or sell.
How the site makes money
Lessons, calculators, the glossary, the comparison table, and market prices are free and stay free. The site is paid for by an optional Pro membership. Moneyplain does not sell financial products, and nothing on the site is a paid placement.
How lessons are written
- Every lesson starts from zero and defines each term the first time it appears.
- Numbers are illustrations with their assumptions stated (return, inflation, time), never predictions.
- Examples are given in both US dollars and Indian rupees.
- Each lesson shows the date it was last updated. The date only changes when the content does.
Where AI is used
The Pro daily market report and the research agent are generated by AI models from public market data. They are labelled as such, are not personal advice, and can be wrong. The lessons and calculators are not generated on the fly; they are fixed pages Jay is accountable for.
Corrections
Spot a mistake? Email jayvaidya30@gmail.com with the page and what looks wrong. Confirmed errors are fixed and the page's updated date changes to match. For anything else, see the contact page.
